Click on your server file press Ctrl+C
Brand a new binder chosen backups
Go inside the folder and press Ctrl+V
Your Done
Or yous could get a bukkit plugin that backs it up automaticly every hour or so.

I would highly discourage the backup method of re-create/paste. Rather, employ the process of archiving your server (e.g., zip, rar) which will non but salvage you space, simply put it in a bully, tidy package you tin utilize for keeping track of several days (/delete at your whim).
In Windows, right click 'send to compressed folder' will turn it into a zip, though even better programs exist such as 7zip.

Note: Doing a copy/paste of a live server may not get you what y'all want. The proper manner to do this is to tell the server to finish saving (relieve-off), save everything (salve-all), run your backup (copy, zip, rsync, any), then start saving once again (save-on). Not doing this has the potential to re-create files out in a cleaved or inconsistent way.

If y'all have a fill-in plugin. Remember Bukkit is designed to provide no more functionality than the vanilla client except with an API (and some essential security fixes).

Besides, all it takes is one unclean shutdown of the MC server (power outtage, process hard-killed (-9), etc.) and every unmarried world that is loaded will be corrupted in some way, specifically but not limited to the level.dat files. This should encourage yous to make frequent good backups. Do some research on what it means to brand adept backups. For example "RAID Is Not A Backup", "Simple Copies Are Non Backups", "Copies On Same Media Are Non Backups", etc.

Agreed.
I exercise use backups on the aforementioned Media, nonetheless this is something which is annoyingly hard to remedy (in my state of affairs at to the lowest degree).
The primary issues I have had is when a damp cable tipped a microvolt meter and killed the server, luckily I had a backup (which was an exact clone of the corrupted globe files).
